Location, Location, Location is the universal mantra for our position on the popular seafront of Shanklin, directly opposite the beach. It’s the place to be with commanding views of Sandown Bay, from Luccombe Cliffs and Horseshoe Bay all the way across to Culver Cliffs at Sandown. Many locals and visitors enjoy a cream tea or lunch and a drink in the comfort of our decks and patios fronting The Aqua.
A short journey up to the town is made easier by using the Cliff Lift to get from the seafront up to the cliff top followed by a gentle 5 – 10 minute walk. Shanklin Olde Village with its famed thatched pub, which is just 5 minutes from the Town Centre, is also an easy stroll from the Cliff Top through the quaint Tower Gardens.
Guests who enjoy a steady amble along the promenade can make their leisurely walk a little more energetic by continuing all the way along the flat revetment path just above the beach along to Sandown, or using a little more energy there is the cliff top walk. Its another link between the resorts and offers such wonderful views of the whole bay along its route.

Just a few hundred metres from The Aqua in the opposite direction towards Luccombe walkers come across the unique attraction of the Fishermans Cottage thatched pub situated on the beach at the foot of the Chine. Shanklin Chine provides yet another means of walking from the beach to both the Olde Village and Rylstone Gardens. It has a wonderful history from the second world war keenly exhibited in the Chine Museum, and also provides a scenic, floral route for all to enjoy.
